We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team which provides recovery support and treatment to people in West Auckland.
This autonomous position works closely with the other clinical psychologists across both the West Adult Mental Health services and the Waiatarau Inpatient Unit, and provides essential psychology consultation to the team, as well as assessment, therapy, and groups.
We are looking to recruit Clinical Psychologists with:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Proven psychological, psychometric and neuro-psychological assessment skills
- Experience working within a DBT framework (preferable) and/or in other particular evidence based interventions and therapy modalities
- Sound skills in mental health assessment, treatment and safety planning
- The ability to work autonomously.
The Clinical Psychologist role is supported by a professional senior and a professional advisor within Mental Health Services. Under the APEX collective contract psychologists receive between $2500-4500 each per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
