Clinical Psychologist - Adult Mental Health Services, Rodney
- Fixed-term position (ending May 2025)
- Part-time role 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)
- Based in Red Beach (and some travel to outreach teams in Helensville and Warkworth)
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our small, well-functioning, multi-disciplinary team who strives towards the common goal of providing mental health recovery support and treatment to people across the Rodney district. This is a regional role and as such may be required to work from our other regional offices from time to time to assist with Caseloads and provide some flexibility in your role
These are full-time and part-time positions offering plenty of scope for extension variety. You will be providing essential and highly valued specialist psychological services and consultation to the team. The role is based in Red Beach, however, some support to the outreach teams in Helensville and Warkworth will also be required. The flexibility of days and hours can be negotiated.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with:
• Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology or equivalent
• Proven psychological, psychometric, and neuropsychological assessment skills
• Experience working within a DBT framework (preferable) and/or in other particular evidence-based interventions and therapy modalities
• Sound skills in specialist mental health assessment, treatment and safety planning
• NZPB registration, clinical scope
• Current APC
You will be part of a broader team of four psychologists at Rodney Adult Mental Health Services (Warkworth, Helensville and Red Beach) and part of a group of 25 psychologists across Adult Mental Health Services – North, West and Rodney. You will also be supported by a professional senior (Principal Psychologist, Adult) and a professional advisor (Psychology Lead Advisor) within mental health services.
Under the APEX collective contract, psychologists receive up to $2500 each per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years to $5000. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
