Clinical Nurse Educator, Renal

- 0.6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight) Permanent role

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join us in our mission. By becoming part of our dynamic leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Educator will come from a background of extensive renal experience and will demonstrate advanced renal nursing skills. As we place a huge emphasis on best patient care and positive teamwork in our Renal Service, we will expect exemplary nursing leadership and role-modelling in this position.
Our Clinical Nurse Educator will support teams across the whole Renal Service, working six 8 hour shifts each fortnight. The role will include on-floor teaching/coaching and support of staff and formal teaching therefore you must have an evident passion and enthusiasm for teaching and sharing knowledge, utilising a variety of innovative approaches. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on developing nurses from competent to expert practitioners within the renal service. They will have a passion for championing the delivery of excellent nursing care within our teams in collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager, Associate Clinical Charge Nurse and Team Leads.
To be considered for this position, the following will be required:
- Registered Nurse in New Zealand with current APC
- At least 5 years renal nursing
- Expert Renal RN Level 4 or equivalent
- Extensive range of nephrology knowledge and skills.
- Post-graduate qualification (achieved or in progress)
- Contemporary renal nursing experience
