Community Adult Mental Health Services (North)

• Permanent Full-time role
• 1 FTE (40 hrs per week)
• Based in Takapuna

Our Community Adult Mental Health Team on the North Shore is seeking Social Workers to work with clients and their families in a community setting, using a recovery based approach.

We are a supportive multi-disciplinary team, committed to the development of our staff. If you are dedicated to improving the health of our clients and are passionate about making a difference we look forwarding to hear from you.

The following are essential attributes:

• Sound Social Work knowledge base
• Knowledge of Mental Health issues
• Understanding of the nature of organisations and knowledge of social service policies and systems
• Commitment to empowerment of clients and families/whanau
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
• Good community/networking skills
• Professional focus and ability to relate well to social work colleagues
• Current drivers’ licence
• Ability to work autonomously
• Good time management
• Ability to develop good working relationships
• Commitment to maintaining high professional standard
