Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapist

Description

We are looking for a Visiting Neurodevelopmental therapist to join our dynamic community team. If you are a Paediatric Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist who is experienced in working with infants and young children and has a passion for developmental therapy, this is a great opportunity. You will be part of a very experienced and highly skilled multi-disciplinary Children’s Community Team; a team who are committed to providing excellent therapy services to our children across Te Whatu Ora, Waitematā. Our work encompasses providing developmental support to infants and young children (0-2 years) who experience developmental delay or disability, in close partnership with their family/whanau. This work is provided primarily in the community setting.

Knowledge and experience in the areas of neonates, early child development and neurology is essential. As a Visiting Neurodevelopmental therapist you will be working in a transdisciplinary model, providing developmental support to infants and young children with a wide range of developmental difficulties. You will be working within a very supportive team and team work is an essential part of the role, working collaboratively with medical and other allied health professionals and community services.

This role contributes to the provision of the Child Health Service and is collaborative, responsive to the needs of the clients and upholds the principles of partnership working.

  • A current driver's licence and current NZ Annual Practising Certificate is essential.
