The Community Occupational Therapy service is currently seeking skilled and passionate Occupational Therapists interested in providing clinical excellence and quality patient centred care on a casual basis as part of our community team.
This casual community occupational therapy position will give you the opportunity to provide clinical service in the management of patients within the Community setting, and assist in the on-going provision and development of high quality services within Waitematā Health.
This casual position is well suited to those already working part-time who want non-permanent additional hours and the flexibility that a casual contract offers; or to those wishing to keep their clinical experience current but who may not wish to be committed to permanent contracted hours eg. those who are studying part-time or who need flexible / school hours secondary to childcare commitments.
You must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and hold a current APC, with at least 2 years or more of clinical experience. Preference given to those applying with previous community Occuptional Therapy experience, skills in basic wheelchair and seating, basic and complex equipment provision or housing modifications.
The successful candidate will be able to work positively and proactively to optimize patient experience, while ensuring thorough caseload management and clinical reasoning processes. They will have excellent communication skills and confidence working within a multi-disciplinary team.
