Kaiarahi Ahurea Team Leader, Whitiki Maurea, Cultural Services

Whītiki Maurea is a Māori clinical service within the Waitematā DHB District Mental Health Services Division. Whītiki Maurea provides clinical care in mental health and addictions with a tikanga Māori (cultural values and concepts) approach.
We have a position available for a person to provide senior leadership and management of our cultural team Te Pae Ahurea. You will work closely with our Service Team Leaders (MOKO and Te Ātea Marino) from the clinical arms and our Operations Manager. In addition, you will also work closely with management from other teams in Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services where we Taurawhiri embedded in their services.
You will have staff management experience and participated in leadership roles, ideally within a Māori context. You will also have the ability to bring Te Ao Māori perspective while working in collaboration with our clinical partners.
An understanding of Māori models of health care or working in Māori values focused organisations will be an advantage. General knowledge about mental health and addictions services would also beneficial.
This position will be based in Henderson but will work across our Whītiki Maurea sites on the North Shore, including co-ordination of Mātauranga Māori based interventions in the Waitemata DHB inpatient units. The role will also provide support to our regional addictions service.
