Clinical Psychologist - Mental Health For Older Adults Community Services

MHSOA provides a comprehensive service to people over the age of 65 years who are experiencing mental health difficulties and/or cognitive change.
We currently have a vacancy for a Clinical Psychologist in our cohesive, multidisciplinary community team serving the culturally diverse population of Auckland’s North Shore and Rodney areas.
We are looking for a motivated Clinical Psychologist with the skills to engage in:
- psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, evidence based interventions/ therapy modalities
- specialist mental health assessment and safety planning
- care co-ordination for a proportion of clients receiving psychological interventions
This position provides the opportunity to increase and enhance clinical skills across the range of psychological interventions, (including neuropsychological assessments) within an established and supportive work environment.
Under the APEX collective contract psychologists receive up to $2500 each per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years to $5000. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
This is a permanent position based at 9 Karaka Street, Takapuna, and a current APC is required.
