Occupational Therapist 
Permanent, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Allied Health Inpatient Team 3 – Renal and medical ward
North Shore Hospital

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational therapist to join our dynamic team at North Shore Hospital.

This is a full-time permanent role which will give you the opportunity to provide quality early assessment, intervention, rehabilitation and complex discharge planning through a patient centred approach within an acute renal and general medical ward. This is an exciting opportunity to build your skills and experience within this specialty area. You will work with a unique cohort of patients, developing wheelchair and seating and complex equipment provision skills while working alongside a skilled multi-disciplinary team. 

We have a very supportive team structure and we prioritise staff development through coaching and monthly supervision. We offer regular inservices and support both internal and external training opportunities. There will be opportunity to flex into the older adult rehabilitation wards, which are also a part of the Allied Health Inpatient Team 3.

The successful candidate must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist with at least one year of clinical experience including experience in an inpatient hospital setting. This role is not suitable for new graduates. The successful applicant will have strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, excellent communication, will be organised and flexible and be motivated towards professional development and quality improvement.
