The Otara/ Mangere locality service provides a range of high quality, integrated and comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment interventions and support for adults experiencing mental health and co-existing drug and alcohol issues who reside in the Otara, Mangere, Papatoetoe and Otahuhu areas.
We are now recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced registered nurse to join us as a clinical coordinator. This is a full time, permanent position. The focus of this position is to promote effective service user care, to demonstrate best practice and ensure appropriate resources are available to support clinicians to work at the top of their scope of practice.
You will be required to work alongside the leadership team made up of an Allied Health Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, SMO and Team Manager to provide leadership, co-ordination and day to day oversight of clinical service delivery with the team. This will include acting as a clinical resource to the team including coaching, mentoring and facilitating evidence based best practice and ensuring new staffs receive a robust orientation. You will also participate in performance reviews and contribute to professional development processes for the teams’ multidisciplinary staff. You will take an active role in auditing and quality initiatives.

Essential:
- NZ Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years post registration experience in Mental Health with a couple of years working within a community mental health team
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- In-depth understanding & demonstration of the Treaty of Waitangi principles
- An understanding of working within Pasifika communities
Preferred:
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards one
- Experience in leadership roles within a multi-disciplinary team
