General Practitioner or Senior Medical Officer (up to 0.7FTE) Youth Justice Residences, Counties Manukau District

We have an exciting opportunity for a Doctor to work with Kidz First Centre for Youth Health providing youth primary health care for young people in youth justice residence. There is the opportunity to work up to 0.7 FTE alongside a nursing team on site, and with other health and wellbeing services who visit. The position can be tailored to suit a General Practitioner, Specialist in Adolescent Medicine, Paediatrician with an interest, or a senior trainee in any of these fields.

This position is based at the Youth Justice Residences in Wiri. There is also the opportunity to engage with other parts of the Kidz First Centre for Youth Health service as appropriate, including professional development, case reviews and contributing to training of other clinical staff, agencies and communities. There is also the opportunity to contribute to further service development.

The position is open to Fellows of the RACP, NZCGP or trainees of either College with an interest in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine or custodial medicine.
