Ward 4 is one of four Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation wards at Middlemore Hospital. We provide patient focused care in Adult Rehabilitation and Health of Older People with a model of care specialising in Orthopaedic-Geriatrics. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with competent clinical skills in both gerontology and medicine who will deliver exceptional nursing care.  Prior experience in a rehabilitation or orthopaedic setting would be desirable but not essential. You will be our top candidate if you are an experienced nurse who is flexible, adaptable and enjoys working as valued member of a multidisciplinary team.  Our roles offer an exciting and challenging opportunity to consolidate those skills.

We offer a comprehensive orientation programme in a supportive learning environment and on-going training is both encouraged and supported.

 Essential requirements:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse 
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate 
  • At least 1 years’ experience in Health of Older People/Acute Medicine
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
