Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We currently have vacancies for those interested to become a Midwife Specialist. If you have the passion and specialist interest in primary birthing, postnatal and care of the late preterm infant primary birthing here at Te Toka Tumai, then this awesome opportunity for you to shine and help make a difference for our whānau.
As Midwife Specialist you will be:
· Supporting and guiding our midwifery and nursing staff across our inpatient areas
· Overseeing the management and care planning specific for these whānau.
· This role is fundamental to the implementation of our new Transitional Care Hub (TCH) based on Ward 96. The TCH provides care for babies needing specialist care including babies transitioning from NICU towards discharge home, and the late pre-term babies needing expert support in breastfeeding.
This role will also be based on Tamaki which is currently a postnatal and antenatal unit. As Midwife Specialist, you will support the new model of care and the future development of a primary birthing area.
