Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Intensivist who shares our vision for providing excellent care for our patients and whānau. This is a 1.25 FTE, 12-month fixed term position starting at the end of January 2025.
This role will require you to
- Have FCICM and vocational registration in New Zealand. A deferred starting date could be offered to a candidate with a clearly identified and readily achievable pathway to this requirement.
- Provide tertiary level intensive care knowledge and skills to patients within intensive care and to patients on the wards as required
- Participate in a rotating senior medical staff roster
- Participate in junior medical staff and nursing staff supervision and teaching
- Participate in intensive care unit activities related to quality, data, audit
As the ideal candidate, you will be either registered or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
