Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join us as a Practice Supervisor to lead our team of enthusiastic and passionate Allied Health professionals within Intermediate Care, Adult Community Services. Practice Supervisors provide clinical expertise and support and, coordinate day to day activities and workload as well as maintaining their own clinical expertise.

The Intermediate Care Service consists of 20 nurses and 7 Allied Health staff. Our focus is on bridging the gap between hospital and home. We offer a Hospital in the Home Service as well as supporting short term stays in Interim Care facility beds (predominately following orthopaedic injuries). This permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) position is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take your first step into a formal clinical leadership role with a leadership and management development programme and collegial support of the other Allied Health Practice Supervisors in Adult Community Services.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 7+ years relevant clinical experience
  • Clean, full New Zealand drivers’ licence
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
  • A flexible, pro-active approach with advanced communication and interpersonal skills

Salary range: Step 10 $89,701 to Step 14 $107,449 (depending on experience)
