Community Mental Health Nurse - Assertive Community Outreach Service

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
- Permanent full time (40 hours per week) position

Join the Assertive Community Outreach Service (ACOS), an intensive Community Mental Health Team in the High and Complex Needs Service.
Our multi-disciplinary team work alongside people who need support to engage with mental health services and present with high needs and vulnerability associated with their mental health. We aim to provide flexible, collaborative and responsive treatment and support to our Service Users/Tangata Whai ora. We are a mobile team based in Point Chevalier, Auckland and we cover all of the Te Toka Tumai Auckland DHB area.
We provide comprehensive mental health support with a focus on whanau/family involvement. You will apply your mental health knowledge and skills to undertake thorough assessments, including risk management and provide appropriate and collaborative treatment and support.
This is a permanent, full time role working 10 days per fortnight on a Monday to Sunday roster. You will be working approximately 3 or 4 weekend days per 8-week roster.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be a Mental Health Nurse registered in New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate or eligible for the same. It is desirable that you have two years’ experience or more working in mental health settings, ideally with community experience.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will demonstrate initiative, problem solving skills and enjoy teamwork.
As this role is community based, a full and clean driver license is essential for this role.
