Family Harm Worker

About the role:
The Fono is seeking an experienced social worker to work in the family harm space. This full-time position is based in Henderson and offers a unique opportunity to deliver family harm prevention, family care, non-violence, and safety services. You will play a key role in carrying out social work duties within the community while working with key partners such as the Police, Ministry of Justice, Oranga Tamariki, and the Department of Corrections.
Reporting to the Team Leader – Family Violence, you will be responsible for delivering services in line with The Fono's integrated Model of Care, empowering Pacific families to access comprehensive care, advice, and resources that support health and well-being.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of Pacific families.
You will have:
- A tertiary qualification in social work or related field / and or relevant experience in non-violence services.
- An understanding of Pacific cultures, protocols, and values.
- The ability to communicate effectively in both English and a Pacific language (is advantageous).
- with the ability to inspire clients and families into a positive change process.
- A full NZ driver's license.
- A commitment to professional growth, engaging in ongoing training and development.
- Dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care and adhering to The Fono's policies, legal requirements, and safety protocols.
