Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst

About the Role
As a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst - Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) at Health New Zealand, you will hold a pivotal role in safeguarding our health system against evolving cyber threats. Leveraging your expertise in advanced threat intelligence analysis and hunting techniques, you will take a proactive approach to identify and prevent potential impacts to business and clinical data and operations.
You will be instrumental to rapid and relevant response activity, acting as a key escalation point for analysts, and striving to minimize operational impacts to our health system. You will drive innovation and excellence in the application of threat intelligence, collaborating with cross-functional teams to uplift key security capabilities.
This position requires a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of digital forensics, incident response, threat intelligence, and substantial expertise in strategy, reporting, relationship management, and continuous improvement.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Join our industry-leading Cyber Incident Response Team, specializing in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence. Our team is composed of highly skilled forensic experts who are passionate about staying ahead of emerging cyber threats through continuous learning and innovation.

About you
- A graduate or post graduate degree in Cyber Security
- Certificates: SANS – GCIH, GMON, GCED, GREM, GSEC, BTLO – Level 1/Level 2, CompTIASec+, CYSA
- Minimum 10 years working in a Security Operations Centre, Senior Levels and Leadership roles are preferable
- Deep skills in Digital Forensic Analysis
- Experience with Criminal Investigations and evidence preservation
- Hands on technical experience in dealing with major Cyber icidents such as DDOS, Ransomware, Breaches etc
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate within a team with excellent decision making skills
