Manager National Travel Assistance - Hospital & Specialist Services
- Fixed term for 2 years
- Auckland or Wellington preferred (but not essential)
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The National Travel Assistance (NTA) Scheme provides critical financial support for people who need to travel a long way or frequently to access specialist health services. Travel and accommodation can be a significant barrier to accessing and completing care for some patients and this scheme helps address those barriers.
The Scheme has some significant improvements planned to make it more responsive and better tailored to those that need it most. The role of the National Manager NTA is to lead and coordinate those improvements as well as oversight and management of the scheme. With these changes there will be key management tasks including programme oversight and budget management as well as broad engagement and communications. This is both internally (nationally, regionally and locally) as well as externally with NGOs and other community providers.
