Charge Nurse Manager - Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to lead inpatient services delivered from our Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation ward. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide operational management and leadership for the AT&R nursing team, and to work with the team to ensure inpatients on the ward receive medical / surgical or rehabilitation focused nursing care that meets their needs, and supports them to return to living well within their whānau and community.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The 15 bed inpatient AT&R ward at Wairarapa Hospital delivers inpatient care to general medical and surgical patients, along with providing inpatient assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for those who require rehabilitation focused input. Those on the ward tend to be older adults, often with multifactorial presentations. ACC NARP inpatient rehabilitation is also provided on the AT&R ward.

In this role you will lead a team of knowledgeable health professionals, and work closely alongside Wairarapa Hospital Acute Care and Community & Integration teams, inpatient wards, residential care providers and primary care teams.
This is a permanent full time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), working Monday to Friday.
About you
- You will have at least five years' nursing experience including a management / leadership role, and will have a sound knowledge of clinical nursing practice, medical and rehabilitation frameworks and a commitment to an interdisciplinary focus.
- You will have a strong client centred approach, superb communication skills and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across a range of settings.
- You will thrive in a busy environment and take pride in leading a team to deliver effective, safe and timely inpatient services that result in positive outcomes for patients, and support the achievement of Health Targets.
