Associate Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical, you will provide strong, visible, and strategic leadership to inspire colleagues and the wider health workforce, ensuring a culture of clinical excellence. This includes fostering partnerships across professions, lead workforce planning and drive system-wide improvements across the services. The successful candidate will also lead the development and integration of the Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) programme for these professions. An aspect of this role will see the associate chief provide training and support leaders in using real-time data for effective resource allocation, capacity planning, and proactive variance response management.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team within the Scientific Technical and Allied Health Directorate provides professional and clinical leadership and governance of allied health scientific and technical professions across the Te Tai Tokerau district.

About you
- 5+ years' experience within respective profession and 2+ years senior clinical leadership experience
- Registered professional with extensive experience in and knowledge of the health sector
- Demonstrated ability to oversee the clinical practice of team members to ensure the needs of both patients and Health NZ are met
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of hospitals, the local community and issues
- Experience in providing advice and making decisions and problem solving in ambiguous and complex environments
- Experience in project management – quality improvement initiatives, change management, including writing business cases.
- Sound understanding of professional ethics
- Knowledge of CCDM programme
