Clinical Head of Department, Mental Health, Kia Tū Ngāwari

About the Role
This is a clinical leadership role operating across the continuing care continuum within the Kia Tū Ngāwari services.
Working in partnership with the Service Manager, the Clinical Head of Department will provide leadership across Te Roopu Kimiora (TRK), Early Intervention Psychosis (EIP), and Maternal and Infant Mental Health (Manaaki Kakano), Pregnancy and Parenting Support (He Tupua Waiora) and Youth Forensics.
Offering an opportunity to shape and lead the service, at an exciting time of development and innovation, this role will work closely with the General Manager and Clinical Director to provide professional leadership with the aim of providing a high-quality service to meet the community, service and organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a meaningful contribution to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families accessing mental health care, with a focus on quality, equity, and service improvement. As a member of the clinical governance forum, it is important to have an interest in quality improvement, service development co-design and outcome measures.

About you
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Psychiatry Vocational scope of practice.
If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
