About the Role
The role leads a team who contribute to making positive change to the lives of forensic Mental Health & Addictions (MHA) patients (tangata whaiora).

This role is responsible for managing our inpatient, forensic, rehabilitation ward; Stanford House. As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will provide both clinical and professional nursing leadership.
You will be a current leader within Mental Health forensic services with a strong focus on partnership with tangata whai ora, whanau and community, including iwi providers.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We work ‘from the mountain to the sea” and cover the geographical area including Waimarino, Taihape, South Rangitikei and Whanganui.
Stanford House is a forensic, rehabilitation ward with 16 beds. The Stanford House team are part of both the Whanganui district and the Central Region Forensic Service and pride themselves on providing the best quality of care to tangata whaiora in a safe, supportive environment.
The team's strength is rehabilitation; helping tangata whaiora to acquire abilities and strengths to achieve goals and outcomes that are person centered, and equipping individuals to live better prosocial and meaningful lives.

About you
We are looking for an exceptional individual with a minimum of five years forensic Mental Health experience, and up to date knowledge of best practice. You will have experience with both leadership and change management.
The successful applicant will have a current annual practising certificate and will have proven success in operational and budgetary oversight as well as professional leadership of services. You will display commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora.
