About the Role
We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated Registered Nurse into our awesome team! This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced and supportive team environment.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The combined surgical ward offers a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, and gynaecology for adult patients which can be both challenging and rewarding.
We collaborate and work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide quality coordinated patient care and are committed to delivering safe nursing care that results in a positive patient and whanau experience.
Whanganui is a pretty, easy to live in town with easy access to larger centers while maintaining a strong sense of community. Situated along the Whanganui River and near both the sea and mountains, it offers fantastic outdoor lifestyle opportunities. The area also boasts a thriving arts community, and housing remains affordable compared to many larger cities.

About you
The ideal candidate we are looking for will have:
- Experience or be familiar with preoperative and postoperative care, pain management and wound care.
- Have excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong customer focus and initiative as well as the ability to work under pressure.
