We’re looking for a Clinical Physiologist (Cardiac) to contribute expertise, knowledge, and care within our Cardiology department. This role offers the chance to work in our supportive Cardiac team, apply advanced practices, and shape the future of cardiac care in New Zealand

About you
As a Clinical Physiologist (Cardiac), you will:
- Deliver a high standard of care in your specialized area of cardiac practice, including diagnostic tests and associated procedures.
- Provide expert clinical support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Help develop local protocols and guidelines, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, while engaging in continuous professional development.
- You’ll play a vital role in conducting diagnostic tests like ECGs, Holter/Blood Pressure monitoring, exercise tolerance tests, and assist in follow-up care. You’ll also provide haemodynamic monitoring during left and right heart studies and assist with other cardiac procedures as required.
- Experience with pacemaker implants and follow-up care, as well as experience with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), is desirable but not essential.
We seek a candidate who:
- Holds New Zealand registration and a current annual practicing certificate from the Clinical Physiologist Registration Board (CPRB) or is eligible for registration.
- Has clinical experience in cardiac physiology and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both with patients and within the healthcare team.
- Is proficient in the use of clinical applications and passionate about improving health outcomes, particularly for Māori and Pacifica populations.
- Holds membership with the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (NZ) Inc..
- Desirable experience includes two to three years post-qualification experience, experience with haemodynamic monitoring, PCI, Pacing and an interest in continuous education and professional development.
