About the Role
We welcome applications from Registered Nurses who have more than two years post registration experience. If you are interested in developing Critical Care nursing skills this may be the team for you.
As a Registered Nurse in Tauranga Hospital ICU/HDU you will be supported by an individualised orientation programme. Following on from your orientation we can offer an ICU discovery program. A clear pathway for skill progression after your orientation period. The Discovery Programme is designed for nurses new to the ICU environment. This six-month program includes study days, clinical competencies, and supernumerary time to apply theory to practice while caring for ICU patients.
For experienced ICU Registered Nurses we support ongoing Post Graduate study including Critical Care qualifications. The senior nursing team includes Nurse Educator, Clinical Coach and Research Nurse. There are opportunities for career progression in our Flight Nurse and ICU Outreach Service.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be joining us at an exciting time, as we move into a newly refurbished and expanded 16 bed ICU/HDU. We provide acute services for adult and paediatric patients across the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our team cares for a range of presentations from trauma, acute medical/surgical and elective admissions. We have a team of dedicated Registered Nurses, SMO's, training Registrars and Healthcare Assistants.

About you

All applicants must have at least 2 years nursing experience and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
