About the Role
An opportunity exists for an exceptional administrator to join the Planned Care Scheduling Team based at Tauranga Hospital as a Scheduler/Administrator. This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week.
The main purpose of this position is to schedule patients appropriately for clinic appointments and surgery at Tauranga or Whakatāne Hospital in line with the Ministry of Health requirements. This role is fast paced and requires excellent administrative skills, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to problem solve and think outside the box. You will be an important part of a team who work closely together and with multiple stakeholders across Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi. It will also require a high level of flexibility as it will be providing support across the whole surgical scheduling team as required.

About you
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated administration experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient information systems
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and customer service skills
