Clinic Co-Ordinator

About the opportunity:
Mt Smart Medical Centre is a whānau-centred practice, made up of a friendly, close-knit team who are passionate about delivering quality patient-focused care. Has recently been renovated, and has adopted a fully upgraded IT system, and is situated in a bustling, expanding area with a fantastic community to support, and as a result, we are now seeking a Clinic Co-ordinator.
This is an opportunity for a switched-on and motivated Clinic Co-ordinator to oversee and drive the administrative, financial, and general day-to-day operations, as well as Reception Management.
The right fit for this highly dedicated team will require someone who has genuine passion and interest in enabling the overall business to achieve quality health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.
- Foster a supportive and productive culture focused on patient care.
- Lead and mentor staff, removing barriers to success.
- Engage with our community to understand and respect cultural beliefs and practices, including Tikanga Maori protocols.
- Promote continuing professional development for staff, ensuring job satisfaction and improved community health.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Experience being a Receptionist/Medical Receptionist.
- Banking and reconciling at the end of every shift, and any discrepancies are accounted for in accordance with guidelines.
- Processing invoices; primarily ACC, updating customer records, and sending out regular billing statements and/or texts to debtors.
- Accounts receivable - processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
About You
- Minimum 2-3 years' management or supervisory experience in primary care.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and patient-centered care.
- Excellent business and financial acumen.
- Medical Reception/Reception experience.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify business opportunities, provide a clear business case, effective engagement with stakeholders, and follow through with implementation.
