About the role:
The Fono are pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Registered Nurse – Kahu Taurima.
The primary purpose of the Kahu Taurima RN is to support the integration of the Kahu Taurima model with The Fono's Pacific model of care, ensuring that Pacific families receive holistic, culturally appropriate support throughout the critical early years of their children's lives. The role will involve working alongside social support staff and contributing to the ongoing development of programme features, including the creation of protocols and procedures to deliver effective, integrated care.
About you:
What you will need for this registered nurse position is:
- Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and professional indemnity insurance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant technical nursing skills.
- Experience in community health, health education or a similar role.
- Experience working with mothers, babies, or in maternal and child health is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
- Sound understanding of Pacific cultures and values.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in a Pacific language is advantageous.
- Proficient in clinical skills, with the ability to manage routine care and identify recurring health themes relevant to the role.
- Valid Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.
