Calling all Radiologists
Are you seeking a new challenge? Would you like to expand your international experience? Then New Zealand could be the place for you

To become a Radiologist in New Zealand you must have completed your Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. After you have completed this you will do at least two years post graduate training, before completing a fellowship year and then becoming a Radiologist.

Radiologists from overseas must be eligible for Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) Registration. You can find out more about the different paths you can take via the MCNZ website

As a Radiologist you are able to become a member of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists: RANZCR

This college is the leading professional organisation for the promotion of the science and practice of the medical specialties of clinical radiology and radiation oncology in Australia and New Zealand. The College has members throughout the world. RANZCR provides the educational curricula for medical graduates training to enter the specialties.

Information about working and living in New Zealand:

Located in the South Pacific, New Zealand may have a relatively small population (approximately 4.5 million) but we're right up there on the world stage in many areas. Whether it is sports, arts or culture we're proud of what we've achieved and healthcare is no exception.

New Zealand has an excellent public health system. Eighteen Districts of varying sizes are responsible for providing or funding the provision of health services both in hospitals and the community. Each year the health sector works to achieve national health targets, which means there is a continual need for skilled professionals.

Right now, we have opportunities for experienced Radiologists to join our teams across the country - from the winterless north through to the beautiful south. If a work-life balance is important to you, New Zealand could be the perfect place to grow your career.
