Perhaps it is fishing, golf, a cycle ride, surfing, skiing or putting your feet up with a good book that is your thing? Whatever you fancy you can do more of it here because you won't spend precious time commuting or burning yourself out.
While our pace may be a little more relaxed our professional standards are not. SouthlandHospital is one of New Zealand's most modern. You'll have first class facilities and first rate peer support from a strong and collegial Neurology and Medical team across the Southern region (Dunedin and SouthlandHospitals). The role is a generalist one and we will consider full or part-time options. Private practice opportunities exist.
Invercargill isn't a big city and the pace of life and lack of big city pressures reflect it. We're spoilt for educational, arts, cultural and sporting amenities and facilities. Nearby are NZ's famed holiday playgrounds of Queenstown and Central Otago and the other way down the road you've the city of Dunedin. On your doorstep are Stewart Island, the Catlins, lakes, rivers, beaches, forests and mountains to explore or fish.
You must have completed your specialist training and be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. An attractive remuneration package, relocation assistance and CME allowance which allows travel, at least annually to northern hemisphere meetings is available. However you unwind do it here.
